CODE AMBER - The Web's Amber Alert System
My name is Bryant Harper, I am the founder and President of BigHits.com, Inc. I
am also the proud Grandfather of two adorable girls ages 3 and 4.
In August 2002 I was horrified by the viciousness of what seems like an epidemic
of child abductions around the United States and recently in the UK. In response
to these crimes we developed the Code Amber Alert Ticker to provide every web
site owner with the ability to display Amber Alerts on their site by adding our
Alert Ticker. The Ticker is a single line of code that loads a Java Script from
our server that is updated anytime we are notified of an Amber Alert.
As of July 2006 the Code Amber Ticker is on over 300,000 web sites and desktops.
We have delivered over 1,100,000,000 tickers to date.
Recently, the AMBER Alert Portal and Code Amber have joined forces to create an
even more powerful AMBER Alert system. Now, through the Ticker and the email,
fax, pager and cell phone notifications from the AMBER Alert Portal, we are
making it easier for you, the public, to help watch for an abducted child.
